    HR Officer - Mpumalanga (49901)

    Job Description

    • A South African agricultural and forestry company has a permanent role for a suitably qualified and experienced HR Officer, based in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
    • Division: Corporate Services

    Job Summary:

    • This role involves coordinating the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle - developing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, screening and interviewing candidates, performing reference and background checks, and maintaining HRIS data and records with precision.
    • The role also includes supporting Employment Equity (EE) compliance and initiatives in line with legislative requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and update job descriptions for current and new roles
    • Advertise vacancies across internal and external platforms with strong attention to detail
    • Screen CVs and create shortlists of candidates
    • Assist with scheduling interviews, uploading project details to Wamly, conducting interviews, and providing applicants with feedback
    • Conduct employment reference checks and MIE background verifications
    • Maintain detailed interview records for HR approval packs
    • Load new hire information into the SAGE 300 People system accurately and on time
    • Manage system updates in SAGE 300 People - including reporting structures and position linking
    • Contribute to ongoing job profiling and HR system enhancements
    • Perform general HR administrative tasks
    • Support the preparation and submission of annual Employment Equity reports
    • Assist in the development and implementation of Employment Equity plans
    • Coordinate quarterly Employment Equity Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, compiling documentation, and recording minutes
    • Collect and organise documentation for Department of Labour inspections

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Diploma / Degree in Human Resources or a related field (advantageous)
    • 2-3 years' experience in an HR administrative or officer role with exposure to Employment Equity reporting
    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Proactive and eager to learn
    • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite
    • Driver's License: Code 08

    Salary:
