    HR Practitioner

    • The purpose of the HR Practitioner is to manage the overall day to day operations of the Human Resources department on behalf of the client and direct and co-ordinate all Human resource activities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Recruitment and Talent Management

    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and ensure timely filling of vacant positions.
    • Conduct effective candidate screening in line with Employment Equity policies.
    • Oversee employment contracts, job descriptions, and staff induction programs.
    • Compile and analyse staff turnover reports

    Industrial Relations & Compliance

    • Provide expert guidance on IR issues and legislative compliance
    • Manage internal and external disciplinary processes
    • Represent our client at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations
    • Track and document all IR matters and appeals
    • Ensure consistent application of sanctions and performance management

    Payroll & Operations Management

    • Oversee biometric clocking systems and shift roster management
    • Manage salary processes, documentation, and query resolution
    • Handle termination processes including exit interviews and reporting

    Policy Development & Administration

    • Formulate and recommend HR policies and procedures
    • Maintain HR information systems and employee records
    • Prepare comprehensive monthly/quarterly management reports
    • Manage Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting

    Learning & Development

    • Facilitate induction training and identify training needs
    • Implement performance management systems across the organisation
    • Maintain training records and coordinate external training programs
    • Lead skills development planning initiatives

    Strategic HR Projects

    • Conduct regular HR compliance audits
    • Manage new site openings from HR perspective
    • Lead special HR projects and initiatives

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Managing recruitment and placement processes
    • Leading IR strategy and external dispute representation
    • Overseeing payroll operations and compliance
    • Developing HR policies and maintaining information systems
    • Driving learning and development initiatives
    • Conducting HR audits and managing strategic projects

    Key qualifications/requirements

    • Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification
    • 3-5 years HR experience
    • High level of computer literacy – specifically on MS Excel and Outlook
    • Comprehensive understanding of current labour legislation
    • Proven hands-on Industrial Relations experience, including external dispute resolution
    • Employment Equity and Skills Development legislation experience
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels
    • Strong project management and prioritisation abilities
    • High energy levels and self-driven initiative
    • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
