Johannesburg | Global HR Shared Services

• A leading global organisation is seeking an experienced HR Shared Services Manager - HR Operations to join its global team in Johannesburg.
• This is a leadership-level HR Shared Services role within a global HR Hub supporting multiple countries and regions.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for driving high-quality HR service delivery while providing leadership, process ownership and subject-matter expertise across the employee lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee HR operations and service delivery across multiple countries and regions.
• Provide leadership, coaching and knowledge-sharing to HR Shared Services team members.
• Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes and complex transfers.
• Manage complex HR escalations, audits and legacy issues, ensuring timely and compliant resolution.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, managers and employees across multiple geographies.
• Support HR and payroll processes, including payroll inputs, data validation and payroll cut-off requirements.
• Work extensively with Workday or a comparable HRIS, including system testing, validation, configuration and implementation activities.
• Develop and maintain HR Shared Services SOPs, process documentation and country-specific HR guides.
• Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and continuously improve HR processes and systems.
• Support the implementation of new processes, systems and HR services across new and existing markets.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Shared Services experience is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• 7+ years' experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services or HR Service Delivery.
• Proven experience working within an HR Shared Services / HR Hub environment.
• Previous leadership, team leadership or significant people-coordination experience.
• Experience supporting multiple countries, regions or international operations.
• Strong end-to-end employee lifecycle experience.
• Experience managing complex HR queries, escalations and stakeholder requirements.
• Strong Workday or comparable HRIS experience.
• Experience working closely with Payroll and managing HR-to-Payroll processes and data.
• Proven experience in HR process improvement, standardisation and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and operate independently in a fast-paced global environment.
• The confidence and credibility to engage with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple geographies.
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline is advantageous.

IMPORTANT

• Candidates must have HR Shared Services / HR Hub experience. Generalist HR experience without Shared Services exposure will not be considered.
