Hybrid Engineer – Intune & SCCM Focus at Kontak Recruitment

A growing IT managed services provider based in Bryanston is looking for a Hybrid Engineer who is equally at home in Microsoft cloud environments as they are in traditional on-premises infrastructure. Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, or Security
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Microsoft cloud, endpoint management, and infrastructure support roles
• Deep expertise in administering M365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
• Proven experience with Microsoft Intune for device management, application deployment, compliance policies, and Windows Autopilot provisioning
• Experience managing Microsoft Azure environments and hybrid integrations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including Conditional Access and MFA
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender suite
• Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, Group Policy (GPOs), and virtualisation using Hyper-V or VMware
• Working knowledge of core networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, and firewalls
• Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and administrative tasks
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and produce clear documentation
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM is advantageous
• Familiarity with AWS is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in infrastructure projects and the deployment of modern workplace technologies
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders during pre-sales activities to understand requirements and help design effective solutions
• Provide high-tier technical support and act as an escalation point for infrastructure issues within managed services operations
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen security postures, and optimise client environments
• Author technical documentation and contribute to pre-sales discovery sessions
• Apply scripting and automation to streamline administrative and operational tasks
