ICT Training Manager at Distell

The ICT Training Manager who reports into the ICT Service Management Centre, develops and implements effective training methodologies across all functional areas within ICT, Head Office and, both local and
international sites. The successful incumbent will be responsible to manage a team of IT Trainers to ensure all training is effectively executed, planned and communicated throughout the business.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement a training methodology that is effective across all functional areas within

• ICT, including head office and all sites both locally and internationally
• Ensure effective systems and process role based training for new and current systems takes place
• Ensure Project Training takes place
• Ensure Continuous Training takes place managed by a scheduled plan for the year
• Manage team of IT trainers to execute above functions, ensuring that all members of the team are
• deployed appropriately and managed accordingly
• Management of training documentation for publication to the user community using the agreed to
• communication vehicles
• Management, creation and update all ICT e-Learning content and ensure that the frameworks and
• standards are in place within our LMS.
• Manage and coordinate all engagement between ICT the BU and vendor/supplier relationship
• Cost Management: To provide proactive and quality input into training budget, Monitor of actual vs
• budget costs and Escalate budget / costing variances
• Manage and assist with the ICT training strategy by ensuring that we work with the business to
• understand their training needs
• Communicate roles and responsibilities by ensuring that skills gap analysis, training and
• development plans are in place and implemented to ensure ongoing people development

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

• BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
• Additional certification in training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer) is a plus
• Minimum 5-7 years of equivalent experience - preferably in IT System and Process Training
• Systems Analyst – minimum 2 years
• Training Facilitator – minimum 2 years
• Training Manager/Lead – minimum 2-3 years
• Industry Knowledge – IT System and Process Training
• Experience designing and implementing curricula preferred
• Excellent team-building, organization and leadership skills
• Familiarity with information technology operations software a must
