    Inbound Sales Agent - JHB

    About The Position

    • Based in JHB, work alongside the team of Inbound Sales Consultants, and contribute to achieve set and agreed inbound sales targets.
    • Oversee the Inbound Sales environment (including Administrative Support) in accordance with the related compliance, legislation, internal & external policies, scheme rules and procedures, to ensure that the sales, product and operational risks are managed, controlled and maintained

    What you'll be doing

    • Profit & Revenue Management
    • Contribute to and execute on the agreed Inbound & VAS Sales strategy and business plan
    • Achieve, personal set and agreed sales targets, in order to improve bottom-line revenue
    • Track, monitor and control own activities and performance
    • Ensure on-going strategic initiatives are continuously and correctly interpreted, evaluated and implemented in the maintenance and effectiveness of the Sales environment
    • Product Management
    • Have a clear, solid understanding of the organisation’s product, benefits and service offerings
    • Interpret merchant requirements and timeously address and resolve merchant queries
    • Continuously share and present Sales & Product management with merchant requirements and needs
    • Process Management
    • Strictly adhere to company policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure the optimal functioning and target achievements
    • Ensure streamlined workflow of daily administrative and sales tasks
    • Consolidate and present regular and/or ad-hoc information for management reporting
    • Focus on continuous improvement of manual processes and apply technology, wherever possible
    • Personal Development
    • Embrace on-going training, cross-training and-up-skilling – foster a climate of continuous learning
    • Prepare and sign-off PDP’s and take ownership of own career development
    • Participate in and contribute to quarterly performance appraisals
    • Stakeholder Management
    • Foster mutual beneficial relationship with internal and external stakeholders
    • Engage with Marketing on leads, pipeline generation/improvement and marketing initiatives via the different and available medias
    • Meet daily workflow, turnaround, co-ordination and SLA management requirements 
    • Governance & Compliance
    • Review, propose and update Sales related documents/templates regularly, to meet merchant needs
    • Ensure that sales related, legislation and regulatory requirements, including reputational risks are adhered to and minimised and product and operational risks are maintained and controlled
    • Stay abreast of Compliance requirements, Consumer Protection Act, AML, etc

    What you'll need

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
    • 3 years Sales experience 
    • Degree or Diploma in a Business Sales related field/environment
    • 3 -5 years in the e-Commerce & Payments industry, preferably with acquiring & issuing experience (beneficial)

    Skills

    • General knowledge of payments & financial industry
    • Well spoken & excellent telephone etiquette
    • Ability to use own initiative and work independently
    • Computer literate (spreadsheets & MIS preparation via Excel, etc)
    • Methodical, meticulous & high level of attention to detail
    • Energetic, enthusiastic & confident
    • Good time management & workflow co-ordination skills
