Industrial Effluent Process Engineer - Somerset West at SydSen Recruit

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered with ECSA (Candidate or Professional)
• Bachelors / Masters Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• Proven Process Engineering Design Experience in Mine Water Drainage Treatment, Domestic Wastewater Treatment and Industrial Effluent Treatment

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the necessity of wastewater treatment procedures and choose the most appropriate equipment.
• Assess industrial effluent processes for their suitability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Analyze and propose chemical, biological, or alternative methods for treating domestic wastewater.
• Conduct feasibility studies for the establishment of wastewater treatment facilities.
• Develop layouts and specifications for diverse systems and equipment.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on proposals, plans, and designs for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Examine disposal methods and treatments for sludge and waste products.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure that designs and construction adhere to municipal and national laws, regulations, standards, and specifications.
• Draft technical reports and reviews.
• Offer technical guidance or supervision to junior engineers, as well as engineering or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians.
• Supervise the construction of wastewater treatment systems.
• Manage projects involving the construction of new and refurbished wastewater treatment plants.
