Industrial Engineer Intern (APSYS) at Alstom

PURPOSE OF JOB PROFILE

In Industrial department, in the manufacturing environment, you will be in charge to interface the product technical definition given by the design department with the production, at the beginning of production and during the product life.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

Missions:

• Use industrial engineering tools and techniques to measure and evaluate processes, operations, work methods, layouts and flow.
• To solve workshop problems concerning operating modes and jigs.
• To lead modifications till application on the manufacturing line,
• Process and method time improvement with following and validation on workshop,
• To define, design and validate production environment (jigs, workstation, ergonomic),
• To define, write, validate and follow instruction sheet and first level control sheet,
• To define workstation layout and necessary tools in relation with the manufacturing process,
• To operate and to program and to solve the problem on the wheel fitting press, on load bench test and on the electronic torque tightening device
• To analyse statistics and to analyse root causes, to propose solution for problems occurred on the different process and the machines,
• To propose improvement based on Return on Experience,

Activities:

• To measure and evaluate processes, operations, work methods, layouts and flow
• To conduct time studies in various areas of business as well as formulate working instructions and setting standard targets (Time and motion studies).
• Determine effective standards of production, staffing requirements and manufacturing methods through statistical and mathematical calculations.
• Design and create proposals for improved systems, layouts and work methods as well as present these to management.
• Continuous improvement during serial life of the production,
• Ensure the best health and safety practices are observed and identify any potential contraventions.
• To participate to solve quality problems and able to measure defects, re-work and etc also draw analysis applying 80/20 rule,
• To be an active participant to transversal action in continuous improvement process as, APSYS, SWIP, 5S, Team, 5 min meeting,

Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

• Completed S4 subjects in Industrial Engineering
• Strong Knowledge in work study, operations management, facilities and material handling including product industrialization (lean manufacturing will be advantage),
• Strong knowledge in AutoCAD, Simulation and/or Catia software
• Knowledges on machine and programmation.
