    Deputy Head of Supply Chain

    Purpose of the Job

    The Deputy Head of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the Supply Chain operations for the global activities of the factory and ensures accountability throughout the supply chain. This position requires significant experience in procurement, logistics operations and information system (G.S.I.). The position also requires teaching qualities, management proficiency, superior organizational expertise, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.

    Serial Production Coordinator

    Purpose of the Job

    The purpose of this job is to schedule and control the daily operations on the production line, so that they are manufactured on time in accordance with the Master Production Schedule/Repairs Schedule as well as lead all line supply integration issues between Planning, Production, Quality, NCR, Logistics and Procurement. This is a key support function for manufacturing. The Serial Production Coordinator Production line scheduler ( Is this the same person ?) makes the link between industrial planning, PrSCL, logistics and manufacturing to ensure on time execution of operations

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • At project starting, initialize all line feeding flows (what must they do?)
    • Check plan orders readiness to ensure work orders can be launch on time and analyze exception messages of the MRP
    • Convert Planned Orders (MPS) into Work Orders and launch them on time in production
    • Follow-up daily the progress of Work Orders through close exchanges with EPU/Line managers and provide visibility dashboards on materials availability for task sequences
    • Ensure that priorities as planned in the MPS are clearly displayed and updated at shopfloor level (visual management) - Alert the planning team/supply chain manager about issues impacting plan execution (missing parts, quality issues, production stoppage, technical data) does the MPS not have all of this embedded?     Purpose of the Job:

    As part of the TSSSA Industrial: Industrial Data organisation

    • Ensure proper ERP system application and process development.

    Supplier Quality Engineer

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Apply and deploy Serial Supplier Quality Assurance policy in collaboration with Procurement.
    • Responsible for Non-Conformity Report management and Supplier performance for a precise scope of suppliers/projects, after the product validation, the First Article Inspection (FAI) + 3 deliveries.
    • Perform inspections for low-critical parts
    • Manage Quality performance of assigned Suppliers
    • Manage Incoming Inspection activities when appointed SQ inspection leader for the given site

    MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

    • Depending on the size of the site and the teams to be managed, roles and responsibilities described below can be assigned to one person or split over several SQ Serial engineers. There must be one single person in charge of leading incoming inspection (one single interface towards Industrial), which can have also the SQ Serial Performance management role.
    • SQ Serial Performance management

    Non- Coformities Management:

    • Responsible for Non-Conformity day-to day management, insuring reactivity to inform supplier of Non-Conformity Report (NCR), to replace defective parts and to implement securization.
    • Animate Non-Conformities Report treatment by setting-up relevant actions plan to reach Non-Conformity Report (NCR) target.
    • Invoice the Cost Of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to the suppliers.
    • Ensure management of Supplier’s waiver requests for assigned scope and Suppliers

    Containment actions:

    • Organize the retrofit to be performed by the supplier.
    • Decide quality wall if necessary.

    Solving issues & Continuous Improvement:

    • Secure in a timely manner strong and complete supplier containment actions plan to secure the Manufacturing line
    • Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity.
    • Check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan of the Supplier, ask for evidences, challenge them and perform supplier’s visit. Ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers).
    • Set up and manage Supplier improvement roadmap for non-performing Suppliers according to Supplier Quality escalation process (Green / Yellow / Red status)
    • Organize reviews with suppliers and visit suppliers’ premises as necessary.

    Inspection of low-critical parts:

    • Ensure performance of inspection for low critical parts (parts non-included Supplier Part List)
    • Check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan of the supplier (ask for evidences, challenge them, and perform supplier’s visit do supplier’ visit). Ensure control plan sustainability (regular follow-up on main suppliers).
    • For ‘trusted’ suppliers: to take part of the Return Of experience (REX) analysis.

    Top Issues Dashboard:

    • Prepare and monitor supplier Quality review at unit level to tackle the Top issues.

    Industrial Engineer Intern (APSYS)

    PURPOSE OF JOB PROFILE

    In Industrial department, in the manufacturing environment, you will be in charge to interface the product technical definition given by the design department with the production, at the beginning of production and during the product life.

    Lead Buyer Indirect

    Purpose of the job: 

    • Lead the development of and execution of category / commodity / domain management strategies for all assigned categories/commodities • In line with strategic objectives, lead the negotiations to select, appoint and steer a supply base that progresses the company objectives on quality, cost, delivery and innovation.
    • Integrated in each category/domain team, the Lead Buyer will deploy commodities strategy defined for its perimeter.

    Enterprise and Supplier Development Specialist

    Purpose of the job: 

    This key role serves to implement and drive the Economic Development (ED) Strategy and Programmes within Sourcing in line with the Gibela Economic Development Strategy. The incumbent will support Gibela’s Contractual Obligations, by ensuring accurate implementing of ED requirements in all sourcing activities. The incumbent will oversee and be responsible for the suppliers B-BBEE and Local Content requirement linked to the Sourcing Division.

    • Influences corporate policy formulation and formulates strategies for BBBEE and drive compliance.
    • Directs the development of new and existing suppliers – QSE’S, EME’s, SMME

    Oversees the Supplier Evaluation process

    • Ensures that outsourced contracts for assessment of new applicants for database listing are in place.

    • Formulates and implements an ongoing program of supplier monitoring to verify supplier accreditation status.
    • Evaluates tender submissions to Procurement commitees and higher governance structures and makes formal recommendations.

    • Develops long-term business relationships with strategic internal and external stakeholders.

    Maintenance Technician x2

    The purpose of the role is to provide technical support to the customer during commercial service, during preventive and corrective maintenance before and after warranty. Perform train preparations and execute corrective maintenance during and after warranty.

    Ensure availability & performance targets are achieved in line with Customer requirements.

    The job involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots, and at times on the train corridors and to carry out technical support and maintenance on 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day and on week-end)

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering

    • Undertake other duties as specified by the Depot Manager or person delegated by him/her
    • Adhere to company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety
    • Report accidents/incidents, and the work done to repair the Trains
    • Drive company vehicles as and when required and applicable
    • Attend all relevant training provided by the company as instructed by the line manager
    • Obtain and maintain all mandatory and special processes certifications
    • Obtain and maintain all other training deemed necessary by the line management
    • Train new members of the team
    • Assist the Reliability team and the Field Engineer to understand the root cause of complex failures
