    Industry Sales Manager

    TE Connectivity's Industry Sales Teams manage sales to a specific industry, targeting customers with specialized knowledge regarding demand and future outlook of that sector.

    The Industry Sales Manager is responsible for the sales of Industrial products and components (mainly Entrelec) within the designated markets and in accordance with the market strategies. The Sales Manager builds long term relationships with customers in order to understand and manage specific customer needs to offer resolutions and solve issues. By doing so, the Sales Manager is able to identify and develop new business and sales opportunities.

     

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Volume and profit: sells Industrial products to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for the assigned Product Line Portfolios.
    • Customer relations: establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full products offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the entire sales process.
    • Sales plans: Prepares and develops sales plans by using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
    • Sales: Creates added value for the customer and TE and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with TE offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
    • New market opportunities: Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
    • Administration: Manages the administrative procedures in sales processes, and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
    • Offer preparation: Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal departments. Ensures the appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

    What you bring:  

    • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent    
    • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the field of products and/or industry segment        
    • Strong business acumen
    • Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
    • Experience in selling, presentation and negotiation and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships with customers and other stakeholders
    • Strategic thinking and setting priorities
    • Ability to work towards targets
    • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans
    • Frequent travel is required
