Information Technology Technician at Lekwa Local Municipality

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Three (3) year Diploma in information Technology /Computer systems engineering or relevant equivalent qualification at NQF level 6
• Certificate in A+, N+ and MCSE (Microsoft certificate systems administrator) will be added advantage
• 2-5 years relevant experience in ICT environment
• Strong ethical thinking and decision making skills
• Knowledge and understanding of methods and approaches to organize and execute technical interventions and/ or diagnose and resolve deviations from performance standards
• Finn grasp on !CT infrastructure and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Code B driver's license

Key Performance Areas

• Assessing the nature and processes involved with the provision of desktop support aligning operational plans to support the delivezy of quality services.
• Making available solution or checking the effectiveness optionsfaltemative provided to users on file conversions and desktop applications that support user needs.
• Troubleshoot all technology issues.
• Diagnosing specific servers, personal computers and peripherals and associated software related problems, applying trouble shooting sequences to establish/determine errors and applying relevant solutions.
• Installing configuring set-up commands testing and solving oflogs and conducting analysis and evaluation on the functionality of application software.
• Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Responding through the collection of factual information and/or condocting the necessary investigation in respect of enquiries and concerns.
