    Integration - Business Development Manager - P3

    Sandvik is an engineering group in mining and rock excavation, metal-cutting and materials technology. Business area Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions is a leading supplier of equipment, tools, parts, service and solutions for processing rock and minerals in the mining and construction industries. Applications include crushing, screening, breaking and demolition.

    Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions is currently seeking an Integration Business Development Manager reporting to the Vice President Lifecycle Service. The successful incumbent will be responsible developing, enhancing and executing the business and integration plans together with the nominated integration team within the Stationary and Kwatani organisation and ensuring that Kwatani is efficiently and effectively integrated into Sandvik way of working and supporting that the company delivers on in line with the expectations set in the business plan.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing integration and business development activities for the exciting Kwatani operation.

    • Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing business development activities of the international business together with relevant stakeholders within Kwatani and Division Stationary.

    • Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing business development activities targeting to expand the Kwatani aftermarket offering and capture rate of the total lifecycle potential.

    • Ensure that the business operates in a manner compliant with the Sandvik Way

    • Ensure that the Kwatani business is integrated into Division Stationary in line with the defined integration ambition and that a good collaboration is established between Kwatani and Division Stationary employees

    • Lead and drive change in values, culture, and mindset in Kwatani together with the Kwatani management; including building an understanding for Sandvik compliance, EHS, and sustainability agendas

    • Responsible for supporting the initial business control requirements needed because of the integration into Division Stationary.

    • Responsible to ensuring that business control role is established within the Kwatani finance department in cooperation with Division Stationary Business control director and MD of Kwatani

    Your Profile

    • MSC in Economics/Masters in Business Administration

    • Experienced in change management (cascading Sandvik values & culture) and as project manager.

    • Experienced in driving EHS culture forward.

    • At least 3-5 years experience in leading merger and acquisition projects in the South African mining/manufacturing industry

    • At least 3-5 years experience driving multifaceted business development projects

    • At least 3-5 years experience in handling integration projects

    • Knowledge and experience of Sandvik Way will be advantageous

    • English proficiency

    • Computer literacy

    • Valid driver’s license

    Required Competencies

    • Strong leadership skills to ensure plans are timely executed to lead the fundamental shift for the business to modernise and develop its way of operating to be in line with expectations on a Sandvik group company

    • Strong team player

    • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral)

    • Ability to develop, coordinate, implement and manage cross-functional business development projects in global matrix organisations - requiring functional understanding, stakeholder management skills, and project management skills

    • Ability to assess business performance from different perspectives

    • Ability to combine strategic thinking with being a “doer"
