Internal Sales Officer at Safal Steel

Job Description

• Sales
  • Typing of quotes, incoming via email / phone
  • Issue quotes and P/Invoices on enquiries from existing customers.
  • Receive confirmed orders.
  • Liaise with different divisions to ensure close-out of export queries.
  • Communicating with clients in African countries.
  • Processing of new orders timeously.
• Administration
  • Attend to telephone calls, requests, enquiries and provide general information.
  • Assist Manager with administration / reports.
  • Maintain and ensure efficient documentation and filing of all export correspondence and documents.
  • Manage customer accounts - credit limits, payments, new accounts.
• Logistics
  • Dealing with freight companies, obtaining quotes, learning shipping routes.
  • Assist with the arrangement and coordination of logistics, system processing, freight planning & payment terms
• Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Complete any schedules and reports required by Finance, Sales & Marketing.
  • Liaising with CGIC and other finance institutes for cover of foreign orders.
  • Knowledge of all customs rules & Regulations.

Qualifications required:

• Minimum academic qualification: Grade 12
• Qualifications as an added advantage: Sales and marketing qualification

Experience required:

• General work experience (years): 2 years sales experience. Export experience advantageous
• Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 2 years in Steel /Roofing organisation

Language requirements:

English

Computer literacy:

• Ms office
• SAP – Advantageous
