IS Enterprise Architect - Modderfontein at ABB

Your responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of reference architectures. Assess the current IT environment and develop a future state IT architecture. Identify the enterprise business drivers and requirements that advance future-state architecture capabilities.
• Provide the transparency and visibility of progress of roadmaps based on the objectives.
• Lead identification and analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential effect on the enterprise.
• Direct the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends; promote innovative solutions. Facilitate the cross-ABB design of minimum viable architectures.
• Develop relationships with other enterprise leaders to understand current and emerging business needs and manage the overarching ABB IS Innovation Portfolio.
• Build the long-term strategic plans and roadmap for key architecture components in line with business priorities and objectives.
• Maintain a holistic view of the ABB’s strategy, processes, information and technology assets.
• Facilitate and coordinate efforts toward the establishment of the innovation portfolio definition, its structure and processes.
• Support a balanced portfolio of capability-led projects that include sustainable and disruptive initiatives that include product, service, process, platform and business model innovation.

Your background

• More than 10 years of relevant working experience (e.g. in IT Architecture, Innovation) in large complex organizations with approx 5 years’ experience in senior leadership role connected with technology
• Deep expert knowledge across areas of technology, especially current and future technical and applications architecture and its implications
• Curiosity to learn about potentially relevant new technologies and see their implications and possible uses
• Broad network within the technology industry (inc. know-how of best practices)
• Finely tuned communication and influencing skills
• Significant experience in diverse organizational setups: enterprise, vendor, start-up, is a significant advantage
