Mission/Function

Performs a range of professional studies, analyses and concepts pertaining to the development/programming of System Software and/or IT Solutions according to defined targets and processes, in an assigned area of work, an assigned team or organizational unit. The web developer assists in the development of websites and fills a critical role at all stages of the development process from inception to the launch of those sites.

Dimensions of Function

• Work closely with MES Engineers to design and build UI features for web-based and mobile devices.
• Responsible for the visual appeal, messaging and user interaction of the MOM / MES solution and understanding how the user interface supports the solution’s overall business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develops and Writes MES(Manufacturing Execution Systems) software applications , system software and/ web solutions on the basis of functional specifications. Scope of position embraces both the customization or reuse/modification of websites and/or solutions as well as their development from scratch using C#, Angular JS, JQuery and HTML5
• Consults with customers to understand front end development requirements
• Provides technical Support for manufacturing applications (standard software and custom development).
• Assists and supports in the visual design, integrity and maintenance and development of website
• Detailed Solution Design – must be able to translate user requirements into a detailed front end design that will support the C#.Net backend solution.
• Development – able to develop HTML5 and AngularJS single page front end applications to support backend services developed in C#.Net and Microsoft SQL.
• User Interface Testing – need to have a good understanding of software testing methodologies to do both functional and non-functional testing. Must be able to develop test procedures for doing Unit Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, etc.
• Post installation support – post installation support on the solution will be required for a period after commissioning.
• Keeps abreast of trends and industry standards as well as maintains continual support of new media applications and principles and applies those applications/principles to current/new projects.
• Must be able to lead a team of Jnr Developers

Qualifications:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• 7 - 10 years Relevant Web Development Experience
• 7 -10 years C# Experience
• Min 4 years Experience working with Angular JS
• Must have experience in leading a Team of Jnrs
• Good understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS.
• Excellent understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Experience with software version control systems (Git, Subversion, Microsoft Team Foundation
