The South African subsidiary of a world market leader in the helicopter industry, is recruiting for an IT Intern. Able to actively engage in and assist with projects initiatives and key improvements.
The IT intern will be responsible for leading and improving analytical programs and present the results of your business unit.
Analysing the variable, granular data of the required business unit and regularly use advanced models to deliver insights.
Answering and anticipating critical questions and deliver insights regarding the required information.
Demonstrate use of data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Excel), and analytic tools (Python, R, SQL, KNIME/Alteryx) to grasp the business insights from our mountains of data.
Collaborate to improve key business priorities based on your data-driven insights.
Qualifications and Skills
A bachelor’s or degree in Information Systems (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience on a part time basis.
Experience using analytics techniques (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics) to tackle defined business problems.
Ability to demonstrate, translate, and communicate sophisticated data into simple conclusions and business actions.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver a clear story to influence agreement to your recommendations with data and insights.
Data management and visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following: Databricks, SQL, KNIME, Tableau, Power BI, JMP/SPSS or similar).
Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities, and have a business and consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy, and passionate about discovering new/innovative ways of doing things.
