IT Manager at Opsi Systems

Duties and responsibilities

• Managing the application support, hosting, infrastructure and IT teams, covering both client related and internal aspects
• Managing all aspects of compliance relating to IT and infrastructure, including POPI and GDPR
• Assisting directly with technical issues as required, as well as providing technical direction for the teams
• Assessing and managing team member performance
• Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
• Managing and reporting on related costs of: hosting, IT and support
• Developing and implementing IT, support, hosting and infrastructure policies and best practice guides for the organisation
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software, systems and processes
• Overseeing regular network security and data security audits
• Running and sharing regular operations reports with senior staff
• Providing technical advice to other teams, including implementation, development and sales
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• Overseeing the support ticketing system and managing escalations from clients and staff members
• Developing and maintaining an incident response protocol to handle any IT related security or compliance incident

IT Manager job qualifications and requirements:

• Information Technology or Computer Science Degree, or 5 years IT management experience
• 5 years IT/Support experience
• 3 years IT/Support management experience
• POPI/compliance qualification or direct experience
• SaaS and Cloud architecture qualification or experience of great benefit
