Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for an IT Manager in Cape town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our IT Manager you will manage and facilitate Scatec’s IT infrastructure and systems throughout the Africa Region and ensure that the company has up to date IT systems that matches the company’s global expansion and benchmarked against best practices in the industry.
Key contact person for Sub-Saharan Africa towards our global IT provider, and other third party providers, responsible for negotiating on and maintaining current and new contracts with external partners
Manage and establish the policies needed for a uniform operation of IT Equipment and SW for the Sub-Saharan Region in sync with the company’s geographical satellites globally
Be the super-user of the company’s IT systems; administrative accesses for all employees (in correlation with HR and Business Units)
Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining the company's IT Strategy / Projects and Policies
Manage the provision of computers and devices
Lead in and coordinate all processes around the company’s IT systems, applications, and databases
Maintain and manage the implementation of IT/Data security principles and guidelines according to Scatec’s global IT standards
Together with the Global IT Team take part in maintaining the company’s SharePointOnline intranetsite. Control accesses for internal and external partners
Be advisor to the SA Management team in all IT, telecom and other technical discussions regarding Scatec’s offices and plants in Sub-Sahara Africa
Develop and train IT staff and all internal users
Carry out daily operational tasks, user administration, housekeeping tasks and system monitoring to ensure the effective operation of IT systems and facilities
Carry out IT installations, implementations, configuration & roll outs & other technical duties as required
Develop and manage a functional disaster recovery and business continuity plan
Qualifications and competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT Related Field (Information Technology, Science/Computer Science)
Master’s degree is advantageous
Minimum of 5-7 Years in a similar management role
Project Management Skills (Expert)
Experience with Cloud Computing and Microsoft Azure (Expert)
Network Security and Architecture Experience (Expert)
Android and iOS setup and Management (Expert)
Active Directory and similar tools
PC and Printer Hardware (Expert)
Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office365, Teams, SharePointOnline, PowerAutomate, Power BI
