    IT Project Manager

    Potentiam is looking for an IT Project Manager for our prestigious UK based client, a specialist group of companies providing a unique service of financial benefits to contractor and corporate clients.

    We are looking for an experienced Project Manager (software) to join our growing Group IT function and assist with various programmes and projects including Enterprise Applications.

    You will be responsible

    • for scoping, securing resource, planning and implementation of initiatives within Group IT.
    • Key to this is the ability to lead, organise and motivate a multi-disciplinary, temporary project team to deliver high performance and excellent results.
    • You will need to be positive and highly adaptable with previous experience of working in an agile way ensuring features and products are shipped on time every time.
    • You will be an exceptionally strong communicator, equally able to work within the IT Team and wider business which may be geographically and organizationally spread as with busy stakeholders, with whom you will establish a direct relationship of mutual trust and respect. You will be able to easily interpret and convey complex concepts and ideas to the team and to non-technical stakeholders.
    • You should have a solid understanding of Traditional as well as Agile Project Management methodologies, values, and procedures in addition to having strong motivational and team leadership skills with the ability to get the best out of the project team.

    Requirements

    • Proactive and able to work under own initiative and to schedule
    • PRINCE 2 Agile (or similar) accredited
    • Previous experience of working in an Agile environment
    • Ability to Resource management, Risk management and communicate effectively
    • Able to demonstrate drive and positive approach to work
    • Resilient and proactive with a flexible approach and strong time management skills
    • Organised & ability to manage several projects at the same time.

    Responsibilities

    • Take responsibility for the delivery of projects and customer engagements.
    • Business analysis and scoping of project engagements, including facilitation of workshops and documentation of customer requirements.
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with all levels of seniority appropriately and effectively
    • Producing relevant documentation and ensuring timelines are up to date
    • Provide feedback to management of potential improvements to existing procedures and systems
    • Work as part of the IT team, to achieve the departmental standards and objectives
    • Work effectively with other departments within the Group to maintain excellent standards of service
    • Maintain an excellent level of understanding and knowledge of Groups’ products and services in order to fully understand process and delivering requirements
    • Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed performance objectives
    • Support colleagues and team members with investigating and resolving product and services issues
