IT Security & Infrastructure Analyst (Power BI & SQL Reporting) at EXL South Africa

About the Role

• We are looking for a Group IT Engineer – Infrastructure Security & Reporting to strengthen our security posture and ensure alignment with security teams. This role involves monitoring security controls, managing reports, and working closely with IT Infrastructure and security teams to enhance our systems' protection.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor and manage security controls for on-premise and cloud systems (Office 365, Azure).
• Ensure patching and security mechanisms are effective, investigating and escalating issues when needed.
• Conduct security reviews and manage metrics for confidentiality, integrity, and compliance.
• Gather and analyze data to diagnose and resolve complex IT security issues.
• Create security reports for internal and external audits.
• Identify trends and proactively address potential security risks.
• Support internal and external audits, including penetration testing.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Skills:

• Strong written and spoken English.
• Degree or relevant qualification in IT/Security.
• Solid knowledge of security processes, cloud environments, and on-premise systems (Windows PC & Server).
• Experience with information security risks, controls, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, COS, ISO27001).

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in IT security, infrastructure, or technology architecture.
• Understanding of IT security best practices, compliance, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
