IT Systems Manager: Africa / Middle East at Rhenus Logistics

Main Purpose: 

• To manage the IT functions on a day-to-day operational basis.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Lead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members
• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all CargoWise-related issues and enhancements
• Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of CargoWise systems
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements
• Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures
• Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems
• Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues
• Annual Budgeting for the I.T. Department
• Monthly Reporting on I.T. Costs as defined by Senior Management
• Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data

Knowledge & Experience:

• Matric Certificate (non-negotiable).
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (non-negotiable).
• Certified CargoWise Professional (mandatory).
• AWS certifications (advantageous).
• Network certifications (advantageous). Proven experience of Managing an I.T. Department
• Experience in I.T. Infrastructure Planning and Development
