    Junior Consultant

    Description

    These external clients are well-known in the market, and the team can cover up to 50 external clients at a time across multiple sectors.

    Key responsibilities for Junior Consultant (Junior HR Consultant):

    Serve as a resource with regards to all aspects of skills development including but not limited to:

    • Preparation and submission of WSP (Workplace Skills Planning) & ATR (Annual Training Reports) to various SETAs (Sector Education & Training Authorities), and coordinate implementation.
    • Ensure that rebates are received in a timely manner and allocated accordingly.
    • Claiming SDL (discretionary and mandatory grants).
    • Liaison and engagement with the various SETAs – ensuring that all Business clients are made aware of any grants, internships or changes within the SETAs.
    • Co-ordinate client monthly meetings and file feedback reports.

    Serve as a resource with regards to all aspects of Employment Equity including but not limited to:

    • Ensure the availability of accurate information.
    • Collate statistical information in predetermined formats.
    • Submission of Employment Equity EE reports to Department of Labour.
    • Support the development and implementation of Employment Equity Plans.
    • Facilitation of training for EE committees (experience in this, advantageous).
    • Administration of Employment Equity Meetings, initiatives, and events.

    Personality and experience for Junior Consultant:

    • Minimum HR or similar degree qualification (Bcom Finance or similar), with strong academic record.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
    • Systematic approach to work.
    • Very strong attention to detail.
    • Able to work under time pressure.
    • Strong emotional maturity and ability to take ownership and accountability.
    • 1-2 years’ exposure in an Employment Equity or Skills Development function advantageous, (but not mandatory).

    The role is desirable due to the calibre of the external clients (household names), the fact that the size of the practice is growing exponentially and taking more and more of market share. In addition, the bonus and compensation structure, is extremely generous.
