This role will lay the groundwork for extracting valuable information from raw data sourced from various channels using tools like MongoDB, Google Big Query, AWS, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

Insurance Data Handling:

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) insurance-related data such as policy details, claims data, customer profiles, and more.
• Transform nested collections from MongoDB into structured data suitable for our insurance data lake.

Database Management & Integration:

• Manage and query data using platforms like Google Big Query, AWS, and Snowflake, ensuring data is accessible and actionable for insurance analysts and stakeholders.
• Optimize data flow and integration between core insurance systems, CRM platforms, and external data providers.

Data Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all processed data adheres to insurance industry regulations and data protection standards.
• Regularly audit data pipelines and storage solutions to ensure data quality and accuracy.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work alongside insurance actuaries, underwriters, and claims specialists to provide data essential for risk assessments, pricing models, and claims processing.
• Collaborate with the data science team to develop predictive models and analytics dashboards.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous learning, especially around insurance-specific data needs and trends.
• Stay updated with best practices in insurance data management and data privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with MongoDB and knowledge of data extraction from nested collections. Familiarity with cloud solutions like Google Big Query, AWS, and Snowflake.
• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages such as Python.
• Basic understanding of insurance concepts, products, and services.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous experience in the insurance sector or exposure to insurance data.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory and data compliance standards.
• Certification in MongoDB, AWS, Google Cloud, or Snowflake.
