Junior Data Team Lead at IQVIA

Job Description Summary

• As part of the Real World Analytic Solution Data Team Lead Team you will provide support for a variety of projects and RWAS trials and studies.

Responsibilities

Client Management:

• Produce Client status reports (metrics, study trackers etc.)

Service Management:

• Supervise study data tracking, cleaning, reconciliation and coding process; liaise with DTL, Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Coder and/or Data Operations team members on a regular basis to ensure data are tracked, cleaned, reconciled and coded in line with agreed project timelines and quality requirements. Performs data cleaning activities as required.
• Assist the DTL as required in the supervision and conduct of other data management activities (e.g. database set-up, data transfer etc.)
• Create and maintain DMP documents related to data cleaning including CRF/eCRF Completion Guidelines and EDC Data Cleaning Plan. Review all other documents in the DMP.
• Maintain the DM folders in the eTMF.
• Provide administrative assistance to the DTL as required (e.g. taking meeting minutes, organising meetings etc.)
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency of tasks and quality of deliverables
• Identify compliance issues and work with functional manager(s) to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• Maintain internal tracking databases and systems as required.

Financial Management/Business Development Support:

• Assist the DTL in the identification of out of scope tasks and tracking of change orders to completion

Other:

• Provide input on DM process improvements or project solutions to CDM team/CDM department
• Provide input on the development and implementation of a new technology or tool
• Participate in a focus team or global or local best practice team
• Perform other duties as directed by functional manager(s)

Education Skills and Experience required

• BSc Degree in Health, clinical, biological or mathematical sciences, or related field
•  Some direct Data Management experience or exposure 
• Demonstrated data management skills and good knowledge of the data management process (e.g., therapeutic area, good knowledge in DM processes, SAE reconciliation, external data vendor reconciliation, management of local laboratory data, and/or new technology) Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, and/or Physiology
• Knowledge of operating procedures and work instructions and the ability to apply them in practice
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Good communication, interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Basic project management skills
• Good understanding of clinical drug development process
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers
• Fluency in English both verbal and written essential
• Eligibility to live and work in South Africa without visa sponsorship essential
