A leading payment solutions company is seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join their growing team in Stellenbosch (Hybrid). This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual with a passion for development to work on secure, high-volume transaction systems.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform technical integration of new clients into existing systems.
Conduct development testing and support continuous integration processes.
Maintain and enhance current system functionality.
Design and develop new features and system improvements.
Provide 3rd line support and resolve technical queries.
Support system security requirements and participate in audits.
Continuously improve development techniques, tools, and processes.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Software Development, Computer Science, or Engineering.
2–3 years’ relevant software development experience.
Strong experience in Java (Standard and Enterprise Editions) and Spring Boot.
Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL).
Experience with development tools such as Eclipse or NetBeans, Maven, and Git.
Experience working in a continuous integration and testing environment.
Understanding of OpenAPI protocols.
Exposure to financial transaction processing systems (advantageous).
Experience with high-volume, real-time or multi-threaded systems (advantageous).
Postilion development experience (advantageous).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban (advantageous).
Front-end development experience using Angular (advantageous).
