Job description:

As a Junior IT Engineer, this position will be fulfilling a role in a corporate environment based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. The role provides for good growth opportunity for the willing candidate.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring of IT hardware and software.
• Supporting IT operations for desktops, networking support (LAN/WAN/VPN)
• Monitoring and maintenance of backup and replication operations.
• IT Ticket resolution
• Liaising with IT vendors and third-party support
• IT administration tasks
• Occasional standby work, outside of business hours and weekends.

Skill sets required:

• Relevant industry certification or significant progress in achieving such certification

2+ years´ experience in:

• Laptop/Desktop computers,
• Installing and maintaining Windows desktop operating systems
• Network technologies [LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN´s]

1+ years´ experience in:

• Windows server technologies and Hyper-V would be an added advantage
• Microsoft Active Directory skills.
