    Junior Product Owner

    Flash is growing!! We are looking to recruit a Junior Product Owner who will be responsible for driving development activities relating to product implementations, integrations and enhancements. To facilitate an Agile mindset within a tech environment to meet high-quality product deliverables, in order to increase company turnover in line with business strategy.

    Requirements:

    • Matric.
    • 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Junior Product Owner, Tech Support Lead, or in a related financial services/tech environment.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Experience working with a Tech team.

    Responsibilities:

    • The Product Owner should be able to understand the informal market, retail space and future trends to make sound decisions.
    • Align business and development team and other technical / systems stakeholders to the developmental roadmap.
    • Plan, review, write specifications and requirement documentation to optimize product performance.
    • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized product backlog and roadmap for implementation based on business and team strategy.
    • Develop detailed specifications and user stories for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams with the appropriate sense of urgency to ensure successful product releases.
    • Act as the primary technical contact for maintenance queries related to the product.
    • Research and keep up to date with technology trends.
    • Proactively review and resolve errors & failures.
    • Ongoing management of existing products and related projects.
    • Responsible for market research and challenging and/or proving strategic direction with insights and trends from on the ground
    • Researching, identifying and determining the viability of product specific concepts
    • Take product enhancements from strategy sign off, through development, to launch
    • Launch product enhancements internally and externally, together with the relevant departments (collaboration)
    • Produce clear product documentation
    • Implementation of and measurement of the growth strategies
    • Ensure internal and external communication
    • Contribution to ongoing management of the product
    • Reporting and analysis of product progress and performance
