Purpose of the Role

• Facilitate maintenance projects, observe and audit the health and safety procedures and
• activities within the business tensure the company policies, procedures, rules​ , and legislative
• requirements are met.
• In order tsupport the growth of this new company, we are looking for a Junior Safety/
• Facilities Manager based in Centurion.

Requirements

Key Responsibility

• Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to
• and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
• Provide health and safety training tall employees.
• Report safety violations and injuries tthe appropriate authorities.
• Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects tensure
• proper functioning.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building structures, grounds, building
• systems, and equipment.
• Day tday maintenance in and around the store.
• Conduct a daily management walk-about of the facility.
• Manage contractors on-site tensure they meet legal and company requirements.
• Enhance OHS awareness.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
• Samtrac certification.
• Some experience in regulatory compliance and reporting.
• First-responder experience and strong communication skills, both verbal and written,
• for reporting and delivering content tthe employees.
• Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
• Proficiency in English.
• Curious and assumes initiative.
• Relationship management.
• Ability tmulti-task.
• Any Operations Ad-Hoc duties
