Key Account Manager: Blasting, Coating & Painting at Hesper Engineering

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

Duties and responsibilities

•  Client interaction- call on clients
•  Promote the service offering to existing and potential clients
•  Build and manage client database
•  Support the procurement process
•  Prepare, present & implement the Sales & New Business budget & targets for business unit

services & sales

•  Plan & implement the business unit’s Sales & servicing strategy.
•  Liaise with the Technical Team to balance pricing with project utilisation
•  Identify new market opportunities
•  Identify potential corporate customers
•  Meet regularly with key clients
•  Communicate technological advances to key customers
•  Identify key clients or new clients to meet with
•  Sales reporting, including targets, strategy & budgets
•  Quoting and estimation with strong cost control and fixed cost determination and management
•  Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
•  Manage cost projections and project performance

Qualifications, experience and competencies required

•  Matric
•  Sales qualification advantageous
•  Technical experience including trade certificate in any major marine trade
•  Minimum 5 years experience in a project driven engineering/manufacturing environment
•  Market & industry knowledge of key stake holders and service providers in the Marine
• Engineering industry
•  Estimating experience
•  Project management exposure
•  QHSE knowledge & exposure
•  Procurement exposure
•  Management experience
•  Computer literacy, MS Projects, MS Excel
