    Key Account Manager

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strong self-starter with great attention to detail. A relevant business, administrative and/or marketing degree would be essential and a continued desire for professional development. The candidate needs to have a grasp of the financial services industry and a keen interest in FinTech, InsurerTech and innovation. You would receive a remuneration package that would be commensurate with your experience. The remuneration would be structured as a basic monthly cost to company with uncapped commission.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Develop business with the assigned key accounts
    • Prospect for and onboard new key accounts
    • Create strategic development plans, including active sales pipeline and implementation, to build new profitable business
    • Track and report progress with implementation of strategic plan, customer budgets, and ongoing forecasts
    • Train business development team regarding different phases of the sales cycle and meeting projects’ goals
    • Perform analysis to determine opportunities in the market
    • Assess the profitability of existing products and service offerings
    • Improve existing business by increasing profitability and customer satisfaction
    • Manage business deals from negotiation to close
    • Monitor contracts implementation from contract performance, customer payment terms, to delivery terms
    • Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Develop and manage a development plan in order to meet the overall objectives in terms of the annual growth plans
    • Business case / proposal development - identifying business opportunities for growth
    • Project coordination, management and resourcing
    • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act implementation and adherence
    • Distributor account management
    • General administration functions when required

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant business degree, ideally Business Sciences / B.Com / Marketing Diploma
    • Proven experience as Key Account Manager
    • Marketing of financial products
    • Affinity insurance distribution strategies (advantageous)
    • Business development experience
    • Client liaison and support experience
    • Customer service experience
    • Marketing, preparation of power point presentations and proposals
    • Business development
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
    • Take responsibility for the image of the company.
    • Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with customers.
