- Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience in sales within the Animal Health industry in Sub Sahara Africa.
Reporting to: Business Unit Manager (Sub Sahara Africa)

Job Description
- To implement the Elanco SSA sales strategy and sales plan in order to achieve Elanco’s business goals and growth strategy.
- To manage Wholesaler, Distributor and Key Accounts in Mauritius, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho.
- To meet agreed quarterly sales targets, by promoting Elanco’s presence in Mauritius, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:-
- Deliver sales; profits and manage spend budget, all within the agreed targets.
- Monitor, evaluate and act on sales deviations on product or partner level, and develop corrective actions.
- Ensure outstanding personal knowledge, and understanding of Elanco priority products, technical information, product strategy, positioning; key messages and programmes.
- Defend and improve EAH market position and depth of market penetration by developing strong, trust based and compliant relationships with selected customers, key accounts, KOL’s, regulators, government and industry bodies.
- Drive Elanco consultative selling skills programmes at the distributor level to monitor efficiency and optimize the capacity of 3rd party sales force – ensure proper training of the workforce in direct customer contact.
- Identify local official tenders and manage the successful participation in those. Work closely with the key stakeholders to extend the scope of such tenders to widen the product portfolio represented.
- Comply with all Company local and global policies and legislative frameworks.
Area: The successful candidate will be required to work in Mauritius, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Lesotho.
