    Lead Digital Manager (Platforms) - Western Cape

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Interact with Technical Teams and Manage Integration:

    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of virtual products onto Trader devices.
    • Coordinate with developers, engineers, and product managers to establish integration requirements and timelines.
    • Provide guidance and support throughout the integration process to ensure successful implementation.
    • Conduct regular meetings and maintain open communication channels with technical teams.

    Integration and Launch of Products:

    • Take ownership of integrating and launching various products onto virtual channels, ensuring smooth deployment.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the virtual channels and their technical requirements.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and customer support, to facilitate successful product launches.
    • Conduct pre-launch testing and validation to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.

    Device Hardware and User Experience:

    • Understand the hardware specifications of mobile trading devices and provide input to enhance the customer experience.
    • Collaborate with hardware engineers and design teams to optimize the device's user interface and functionality.
    • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Continuously monitor industry trends and technological advancements to propose innovative enhancements.  

    Quality Assurance and Maintenance:

    • Play a pivotal role in quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle, from development to maintenance.
    • Develop and implement quality control processes and standards to ensure product stability and performance.
    • Collaborate with testing teams to define test cases, conduct testing, and identify and resolve issues.
    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement.
    • Coordinate with development teams to address bug fixes, implement updates, and ensure smooth product maintenance.

    Device Strategy:

    • Develop and execute device strategy plans aligned with business objectives and customer demands.
    • Define device rollout and maintenance schedules, considering factors like market demand, product lifecycle, and technical feasibility.
    • Plan and coordinate solar migration strategies to ensure seamless transitions for traders.
    • Oversee firmware updates and ensure compatibility with virtual products.
    • Manage different app versions, ensuring backward compatibility and a smooth transition for users.

    App Security and Features:

    • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure app security and protect sensitive user information.
    • Stay updated on the latest security standards and best practices to implement appropriate security measures.
    • Define and manage password management protocols and encryption standards.
    • Coordinate with design and development teams to implement user-friendly app features and optimize the user experience.
    • Oversee the development of slip templates for traders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and ease of use.

    Build team and people capabilities through:

    • Providing real-time, ongoing coaching and feedback to team members throughout the year
    • On-time completion of performance management activities including regular 1:1s and Bi-annual performance reviews through GPS
    • Supporting employee development including facilitation of career development conversations and crafting development plans for current and future needs
    • Taking action to hire and retain high-performers and address poor performance
    • Proactively manage change initiatives within the team including sufficient planning/ preparation and communication to minimise disruption and support employee adoption.
    • Role modelling the behaviors that support and drive the Flash culture and values

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 8 – 10 years’ proven experience in strategically managing digital platforms, preferably in the South African retail or financial market.
    • Deep understanding of the South African financial landscape and the dynamics of different merchant channels within the informal economy.
    • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Demonstrated ability to craft and execute strategic initiatives that drive platform growth.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles tailored to the South African audience.
