Lecturer

• A Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences or equivalent
• Base qualification in Consumer Science or equivalent
• At least two years' working experience one of which must be in teaching

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Ability to teach and assess various topics in the Consumer Science Programme, specifically Nutrition,Food Science (with basic culinary/practical experience), New Product Development, Food-relatedlegislation, e.g. labelling, Food hygiene, health and safety in line with relevant legislation, ResearchMethodologies, Sensory evaluation, Quality Control
• Curriculum and programme development
• Quality Assurance
• Evaluation and development of learning material
• Academic administration
• Academic development and management
• Monitor and assess work integrated learning
• Industrial alliance and partnerships and community engagement
• Research record
• Assist with marketing and recruitment strategies
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
