Lecturer- Simulation Laboratory Professional Officer (Re-advertisement)
A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of government notice R.425 or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. (i.e., Diploma/ Degree in Nursing).
An Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing Education. Post Basic Diploma in R.212 or R.48 registered with SANC. Proof of current registration with SANC. Good communication, supervisory, report writing, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a team and under pressure. Computer literacy/ certificate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
A valid driver’s license. PND1 minimum of 4 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur.
PND2 minimum of 14 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur, at least 10 years of the period must be appropriate experience in Nursing Education.
Duties :
The incumbent will be functioning directly under the supervision of the Clinical Head of the Department. Coordinate and supervise the general operations of the simulation laboratory.
Monitor and control the utilization of the simulation laboratory. Provide leadership and support to simulation laboratory users. Apply Information and Communication Technology skills in the use of High-fidelity equipment.
Support the vision and mission of the college through participation in meetings, committees, and college activities. Participation in the identification and procurement of simulation laboratory equipment. Participate in clinical activities.
