This position exists to review and analyze legislation, case law, court rules and other materials necessary in order to update statutory content on LexisNexis in all media, to respond to customer questions and support our product owners, and partner with our editorial teams to ensure the quality and timeliness of our material.
Responsibilities:
Analyze impact of new legislation/rules on existing statutory/rule content.
Track and monitor legislation and ballot measures, and demonstrate an advanced understanding of the legislative process in assigned jurisdiction(s).
Effectively integrate and/or oversee all primary law changes and additions, including contingencies, postponed treatments, unusual provisions and multiple amendments.
Review and ensure proper editorial integration of new legislation; provide feedback and resolve outstanding issues.
Create section notes as needed and review notes created by AI.
Requirements:
LLB or equivalent qualification an advantage
Desire to improve all processes and products – support of automation, artificial intelligence, and other continuous improvement processes. Constant challenging of the status quo.
Strong analytical and legal research skills and knowledge of legislative and judicial process.
Experience in performing legal analysis.
Basic computer skills; MS Office applications; lexis.com; westlaw.com. Become EDEN certified as product responsibilities determine and within stated timeframe.
