National Diploma or Degree in Law (LLB) coupled with at least 2 years working experience in the legal environment. A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite.
Registration with relevant professional body or admission as Attorney/Advocate will be advantageous.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Legal Services Practitioner, the incumbent will be responsible for: Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Legal Services Unit .
Manage and maintain legal files, case registers, contracts, and correspondence in line with records-management and confidentiality requirements Draft, format, and process routine legal correspondence, reports, and submissions
Coordinate and track litigation matters, including court dates, deadlines, and instructions to external legal practitioners Liaise with internal departments, external attorneys, advocates, courts, and regulatory bodies Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and documentation for legal-related meetings Monitor compliance with legal and governance prescripts, policies, and procedures
Assist with the administration of contracts, service-level agreements, and legal opinions Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and ensure proper document control Support the Legal Services Unit during audits, investigations, and reviews M
anage diary entries, reminders, and follow-ups on legal matters Perform any other lawfully assigned duties in support of the Legal Services function Ensure compliance with all LNW’s policies and procedures, code of ethics and confidentiality.
