Our Logistics & Services business is growing, and we are looking for dynamic people to join our team. As Logistics Agent, you will be interacting daily with customers and colleagues across the globe, giving you the opportunity to develop your professional skills in a global environment.
Responsibilities:
- Full understanding of our customers’ requirements and their business.
- Full understanding of export, import and air processes.
- Management of end-to-end processes in supply chain movements.
- Owns and manages the full customer experience for our customers including KPI reviews and meetings
- Professional pro-active communication and overall pro-active engagement with customers during the shipment lifecycle.
- Coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve required delivery to customers.
- Exception handling, swift resolution of queries.
- Validation of cost and revenue at file level.
- Accurate and timely reporting.
- Close collaboration with sales teams.
- Assist and enable commercial teams to deliver Logistics & Services growth targets.
- Seeking continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies.
Required experiences, skills and competencies:
- A minimum of 5 years working experience working in shipping line or freight forwarding or related industries.
- Understanding of imports, exports, LCL, Air processes.
- Solid IT knowledge (working with MS Excel).
- Supply Chain Management or Clearing & Forwarding Experience.
- Customer-centric orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Problem solving abilities and solutions driven.
- Ability to learn easily and adapt to change.
- High level English knowledge.
- Can be based in Durban or Cape Town.
