• The purpose of this position is to ensure the optimal and timely provision of raw and packaging materials in line with the production plan, enabling uninterrupted operations, efficient inventory management, and consistent support to production requirements.                                                                                                                   

Requirements    

• Degree/Relevant Diploma in related field
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• People management experience
• Business English: Fluent
• Code 08 Driver's license
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
• Travel off-site/ overnight stay

Duties and Responsibilities    
Manage the availability of raw material and packaging        

• Manage the purchase process of raw material/packaging        
• Ensure optimal stock levels         
• Take proactive steps to prevent losses        
• Assist with raw milk/cream planning         
• Ensure that continuous improvement practices take place        

Manage the warehouse operations        

• Optimise warehouse capacity utilisation          
• Improve warehouse efficiencies          
• Ensure critical controls are in place         
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are applied correctly         
• Ensure systems are in place to execute functions relating to maintenance, safety and security etc.          
• Control key aspects and take corrective action where necessary        
• Drive continuous improvement principles          

Manage stock control function

• Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw and packaging material        
• Manage raw material/packaging store     
• Manage AWIP, SFC
• Support stock counts        

 Manage fixed and variable cost        

• Compile budget and report deviations         
• Plan for resource demands         
• Do peak planning        
• Manage stock breakages and losses
• Maintain sound administration principles

Manage staff

• Ensure optimal utilisation of staff        
• Apply consistent discipline         
• Train and develop staff         
• Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all        
• Establish continuous improvement practices         
• Liaise and communicate with management in all departments         
• Set objectives, manage and measure performance of subordinates
