Logistics Manager - Johannesburg at Aramex South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Management
• Management of internal teams to ensure productivity targets are met in line with customer SLA and internal procedures
• Coordinate team members to meet client defined KPI’s and SLA’s, inclusive of arranging any shift work and other requirements related to staffing
• Reporting on site performance and continuous improvement actions

Ensure all system and processes are followed and implemented

• Managing monthly billings and profitability while keeping costs under control. All billing to be validated and controlled
• Manage relationship with client

Manage relationship with staff with regards to growth opportunities and motivation

• Review all processes and procedures and make required changes as deemed necessary

Human Resources

• Conduct Monthly one on ones
• Conduct Performance reviews and staff development
• Enforce disciplinary code and procedures where applicable
• Monitor time and attendance

Customer

• Ensure all customer expectations are met in line with defined SLA’s
• Monthly performance reporting

General

• Ensure that 5S systems and standards are adhered to and maintained
• Ensure that all health and safety principles and policies as set out for site are followed and all near misses are reported
• Ensure that all environmental principles and policies as set out for site are followed and reported in the event of an infraction.

Minimum Requirements

• 6-8 years’ experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain and Warehouse operations at management / senior supervisory level
• Degree in Logistics / Supply chain is advantageous
• Experience on presentation and negotiation of business solutions at senior management level.
• Valid code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport and willing to travel
