    Logistics specialist

    Your Role

    • Weekly Stock Accuracy
    • Weekly operational dashboard
    • Scrapping
    • Claims with service providers
    • Monthly KPI meetings with service providers
    • Returns for all customer orders
    • Stock takes (x 2 per year) in compliance with audit requirements
    • DELCON Management
    • Request stock adjustments approvals
    • Month End signed SOH report for your plants
    • System clean up Locations 9001 & 9002 and GIT
    • Expedite and track deliverables for imports and local
    • Monitor project costs
    • Communicate and provide regular updates to stakeholders
    • Monitor VL06 report to ensure deliveries go out within required time frame to prevent prefect order failure
    • Strong experience in exports – manage approved service providers / Incoterm / charges and all costs pertaining to the shipment.
    • Issuing clearing instruction and haz required documentation / obtaining estimate quotes for cost comparison
    • Engage with planners to ensure STO’s are raised to transfer stock as required between coastal plants for returning stock that needs to be scrapped in Alrode
    • Cycle counts to be conducted weekly with relevant plants
    • Raise Ariba orders
    • Check and approve international and local logistic invoices for discrepancies for abnormal charges and verify monthly invoices for warehouse and transport for correct rates applied.
    • Review and analyze program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and corrective actions
    • Responding to customer service inquiries and stakeholders on urgent deliveries
    • Responsible for ensuring that any items processed through the logistics are distributed in the most efficient manner.

    YOUR SKILLS

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business (preferred)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
    • 5+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordination
    • Working knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo management software preferred
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
