Logistics Superintendent - Gugulethu Colliery at Canyon Coal

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Grade 12 
• Relevant tertiary qualification 
• Computer literate (MS Office package) 
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. 
• Must be familiar with coal processing, stockpiling and logistics processes. 
• Advanced Coal prep certificate will be an advantage. 
• Able to work irregular hours 
• Must be focused and pay attention to detail. 

EXPERIENCE: 

• At least 5 years of relevant managerial experience in logistics, stock control, and quality control for coal. Coal Mining experience is an added advantage. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Daily Quality Composite Spec Reports 
• Daily Exception and Incident Report 
• Daily Truck/transport Planner Update 
• Siding transport planner Update 
• The daily site and siding recons 
• Weekly siding survey reports 
• Weekly operational management report 
• Development of Projects (Open Item 3, access control, VMS, Turing) 
• Administrate transporter adoption and blocking. 
• Oversee access control at mines and sidings. 
• Track vessel objectives 
• Oversee siding and port stock levels and quality. 
• Transnet engagement for trains & RMTs
