What You'll Be Owning:

• Full lifecycle management of DB2 and IDMS databases on the z/OS platform.
• Performance tuning and optimization to ensure seamless operations.
• Rapid issue resolution for database and DBMS-related incidents.
• Execution of upgrades, patches, and database maintenance with zero fuss.
• Hands-on involvement in disaster recovery planning and simulations.
• Championing best practices in database design and architecture.
• Providing high-quality incident, change, and request management.
• Maintaining tight security controls and ensuring data integrity.
• Delivering actionable insights through utilization and capacity reporting.
• Collaborating with top-tier vendors and service partners.

The Toolbox You Bring:

• Expertise in z/OS operations and environments.
• Deep knowledge of IDMS and DB2 for z/OS.
• Hands-on proficiency with JCL, IBM utilities, SPUFI, DB2 Admin, and DMLO.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and an analytical mindset.

What We're Looking For:

• IT Degree or relevant certification.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in IT, with 5+ years as a Mainframe DBA.
• 4+ years working directly with IDMS and DB2 databases.
• Track record of participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
• Solid foundation in mainframe OS concepts and enterprise environments.
