Mainframe Developer at ITC Infotech

Role Purpose:

• Technical Degree from a recognized University or equivalent education
• 5+ years IT experience in IBM Mainframe platform (COBOL or PL/1)
• Relevant technical certifications

• Candidate should be able to use technical skills (e.g. database techniques) and development skills related to the IBM Mainframe (COBOL or PL/1)
• Full-Stack Engineering vision: ability to leverage breadth of experience and knowledge and design solutions for the given requirement
• Should have experience in one or more of the following development disciplines: estimation, analysis, programming, test and utilisation of test tools, performance tools, change processes and application architecture
• Ability to perform in programming, design and documentation for both batch and on-line application
• Participate in code review
• Understands the front-end technologies used in the application portfolio and related ESB/Integration tools
• Strong Database knowledge in DB2 or equivalent
• Should have thorough debugging knowledge of batch and on-line applications

Hands-on experience on the following:

• Knowledge on any CA tools / other tools used in configuration management and debugging
• COBOL or PL/1
• JCL and related utilities
• DB2
• File Systems
• CICS
• Scheduling tools
• Analytical thinking, good communication skills (Both oral and written), result orientation, good team player
