Purpose of Job

• Maintenance assistance on mechanical equipment.
• Maintenance Operators are critical to supply maintenance assistance to mechanical artisans and together ensure that essential maintenance activities are executed timeously to support plant operations.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Report deviations and defects to Foreman
• Assist Artisans in daily activities
• Good Housekeeping and high Safety standards. Perform inspections where required
• Takes accountability for driving own growth through developing self-awareness, reflecting, seeking feedback and self-correcting.

Formal Education

• Grade 12 with Math’s & Science & English (Must)
• NQF 2 Mechanical occupational qualification (Wish)

Min Experience

• Basic mechanical maintenance understanding
• Preventative maintenance execution
• Plant maintenance experience (wish)
• Communication skills
• Team player
• Self-driven
• Work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Must be able to do physical labour
• Time and safety conscious
• Ability to carry out inspections and complete defect reports
• Basic computer literacy will be to your advantage
