Job Description

• An established plastics company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their dynamic team in Bellville Western Cape. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth operations across the plant by maintaining building-related services, with a strong focus on electrical reticulation, distribution, and utilities.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide electrical maintenance support to ensure minimal operational downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical reticulation, water supply, compressed air, and air-conditioning systems.
• Conduct ongoing inspections to identify and resolve faults proactively.
• Complete and maintain job cards, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and modifications.
• Ensure availability of maintenance spares by liaising with stores and supervisors.
• Support plant safety, ISO9001, NOSA, WCM, and other management systems.
• Coach and guide less experienced maintenance staff.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working disciplines in the plant.

Requirements: 

• Matric.
• Trade Tested N3 Electrician with Wireman’s License.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, plant services, or utilities environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and distribution.
• Good problem-solving skills, teamwork ability, and a proactive improvement mindset.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
