Maintenance & Engineering Planner - Sasolburg at Sasol

Purpose of Job

• The purpose of the role is to provide a continuous input and support into maintenance, shutdown and project planning activities at various business units and to apply the planning processes at an operational level. To follow the Work Management work instruction and RAPID.       
• Execute the principles of effective and efficient planning by fully utilizing all the planning tools and resources.
• Report on own performance and identify areas for improvement in the complete process.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Compliance to SHE requirements and targets.
• Improve competency, identify opportunities, and develop own skills.
• Manage own output and productivity as per agreed planning targets.
• Support Operations through execution of sound Planning Practices and Work Management System.
• Identify improvement opportunities in the Work Management Systems and action/escalate as required.
• Apply effective scoping, planning and scheduling principles.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to build sound working relationships and provide the agreed support.
• Work alignment across boundaries (value chain)

Formal Education

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science (equivalent = Technical N3, with English) and
• Relevant (Engineering / Process) trade certificate NQF4 or
• Internal Planning development programme (NQF2 + Planning school certificate)

Min Experience

• 3 years field experience as an Artisan or Technician, or
• 4 years’ experience as a Planner Assistant
