Job Description

The Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for the effective management of internal projects at GWK's silos, ensuring compliance to standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12/ NQF4
• Qualified Millwright/ Electrician (Trade Certificate)
• 15 year's post-trade experience
• Experience within the Grain Industry will serve as recommendation
• Proven experience in the management and completion of Maintenance Projects is essential
• Computer literate in the MS Office package

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Maintenance Projects at GWK's Grain silos from start to completion.
• Procurement of maintenance parts within GWK's approved mandate and tenders.
• Give inputs with regards to capital projects.
• Effectively manage approved budgets for projects.
• Ensure GWK's Grain's Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule is updated and adhered to.
• Ensure adherence to all legal frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Continuously audit and ensure compliance the OHS Act within the department's workshops.
• Together with the relevant Silo Managers, ensure that all the electrical equipment runs optimally and safely.
• Continuous liaison with internal and external departments with regards to planned projects, maintenance schedules and budgets.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of electrical faults as given through by Silo Managers.
• Stay abreast of leading electrical technologies to ensure effective use, power saving and safety.
