Maintenance Manager at Peermont Global

Job Description

• Responsible for the management and effective operation of the Maintenance Department
• Coordinate maintenance required for all internal and external areas
• Implementation of preventative maintenance programmes
• Conducting of maintenance audits and inspections on complex
• Coordinate staffing functions
• Monitor operation of complex equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime
• Provide proper record keeping of all services
• Perform basic accounting of the department, including procurement of materials and budgeting
• Ensure that all fire detection areas are operational
• Must be able to perform Head Office requests, e.g. Business plans, Health and Safety requirements, etc

Qualifications

• Matric /Grade 12
• N6 (Electrical) with trade test at a reputable institution
• Wireman’s license is essential
• 5 Years of skilled maintenance experience which must have included 2 years of managerial experience
• Proficient in Word and Excel;
• Ability to manage a Health and Safety programme
• Ability to work under pressure as well as a team player;
• Must be able to communicate at all levels;
• Good interpersonal and organisational skills required.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and administration
• Shift work is an operational requirement.
