Maintenance Planner - Aggeneys at RPO Recruitment

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join their team in the Northern Cape region of South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in the mining industry and possess a strong understanding of maintenance planning processes and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop maintenance plans and schedules for all machinery and equipment in the mining operation.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all planned maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance practices.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance schedules do not disrupt production operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and performance.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
• Relevant Trade Test Certificate.
• Maintenance planning and scheduling certificate.
• 5 Years’ experience on planned maintenance systems in supervisory capacity in the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the mining industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a remote location in the Northern Cape region.
