Management Accountant - Durban at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis on budgeted versus actual results, identifying areas of concern and making recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.
• Monitor and control costs throughout the manufacturing process, implementing measures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with the production team to develop cost standards and ensure accurate product costing information.
• Provide financial analysis and support for capital investment projects, assessing potential returns and risks.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and identify areas for process improvement.
• Support the management team in developing strategies to improve profitability and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide financial guidance as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in the manufacturing sector, making recommendations for improvement and efficiency within the finance function.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certifications such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) 
• A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in management accounting or financial analysis within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including cost accounting and standard costing.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, including ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of local and international financial regulations and reporting requirements within the manufacturing industry.
